By using Breathy, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We do not collect or store personal data like your email address or IP address. However, certain information is collected to improve the app's functionality and personalize your experience. This includes:

Crash logs (via Apple's and Google's diagnostics tools)
App usage data (via platform analytics)
Device information (such as device model, OS version, and language settings)

We also collect the following during onboarding for personalization purposes:

Preferred name
Gender and age range
Wellness goals and breathing experience level
Preferred practice time and frequency
Mood and feeling data

This data is stored locally on your device and may be synced anonymously to our backend (Supabase) to preserve your experience across sessions. No email or password is required.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use this information to:

Personalize your breathing exercises and recommendations
Track your session streaks and progress
Monitor app performance
Diagnose bugs or crashes
Improve the overall app experience

All data is anonymized and is never used for advertising or sold to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third-party tools to operate the app:

Apple App Store & Google Play Store — for purchases and platform analytics
Supabase — for anonymous backend data storage
RevenueCat — to manage subscriptions and process payments
Expo — for push notifications and app infrastructure

These providers may collect anonymized data according to their own privacy practices. No personally identifiable information is intentionally transmitted.

4. Feedback

If you submit feedback through the app, it is stored anonymously and used solely to improve the app. Do not include personal or sensitive information in feedback submissions.

5. Push Notifications

The app may request permission to send push notifications such as session reminders and motivational messages. You can enable or disable notifications at any time through the app or your device settings.

6. Your Privacy Controls

Since no user accounts are created, there is no user profile to delete. All local data can be removed by uninstalling the app. If you wish to request the deletion of any anonymized data stored on our backend, contact us at:

7. Children's Privacy

Breathy is intended for users aged 4 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 4. If we become aware of unintentional data collection from a child, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with a new "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes go into effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
